The Highcross Leicester (formerly the Shires) opens its doors in spectacular style on 4 September 2008, after redevelopment.
The £350 million scheme by executed and undertaken by Hammerson and Hermes is the biggest regeneration project the City of Leicester has ever seen.
The former Shires has transformed into a fabulous, vibrant destination incorporating an unrivalled choice of over 120 aspirational fashion retailers.
At Leicester Highcross John Lewis has taken a high profile site for its flagship store and its largest in the Midlands, creating a new landmark for Leicester providing four floors of fashion, beauty, homeware and accessories. It is situated alongside the multi screen Cinema de Lux, one of only two in the country.
With over 100,000 m2 of shopping on offer, the fashion line-up also includes style-leaders such as Hobbs, Karen Millen, All Saints, G-Star, Henleys, Lacoste and Cruise. Guess is making its debut in the Midlands and Ireland based A-Wear is opening its first retail outlet in England.
